The company is a globally active transaction advisory and strategy consulting firm focused exclusively on solar, wind, water, energy storage and digital energy. 

Established in 2008 and headquartered in Berlin, the company supports companies and investors in creating growth through developing winning strategies and executing corporate and project transactions. 

Main tasks

  • Hands-on Management of projects including research and analysis work, supervision and monitoring of consultants, editing of final reports and interaction with clients (i.e. kick off meetings, interim reports, final presentations, on-going interaction)
     
  • To derive strategic recommendations to clients and/or to help clients to raise growth capital, to identify an ideal investor or to find the right buyer for a company or a specific activity from company’s global network
     
  • To lead an consultants team (typically 1-3 team members) in dedicated projects (a typical project lasts in average 1-2 months / 2-4 projects run simultaneously)
     
  • To structure the workload in every given project and to be responsible for the delivery of highest-quality results to clients 
     
  • In-depth support in project acquisition: defining and implementing marketing strategy, preparing and presenting project pitches, drafting proposals, participating in conferences and trade shows
     
  • Travel abroad for client meetings / BD purposes (not more than 25%-30% of time)
     
  • Belongs to office management (together with other two project managers), leading recruiting issues, participating in the overall company strategy definition and day-to-day operation and management

Professional requirements

  • At least 3 to 5 years of overall working experience in a tier 1 global consulting company, in-House consulting or dedicated transaction services boutique with energy / renewable as a major domain  
  • Solid track record as a project / engagement manager or senior consultant / senior Associate with initial managerial experience (on a project base); previous working abroad is a plus
  • (All-round) industrial Consulting Experience; Energy- related background is a significant plus (one or more of following:  Solar, Wind, Energy Storage, power market, E-mobility, digital energy)
  • Very solid technical knowledge and understanding (initial technical experience in the industry is nice to have, not a must) 
  • Commercial experience is a plus (not must)
  • Strong interest in energy-related topics, enthusiasm for renewable energy is evidently

Education / Languages

  • Excellent University degree (Masters or PhD) in either engineering or physical sciences is a must have (i.e. Physics, Electrical Engineering, Industrial engineering, Chemistry); an MBA or other commercial degree on top is nice to have (not must)
     
  • Excellent in English; good knowledge in German is a plus (not a must)
