Our client is a leading provider of cloud- and carrier-neutral data centre services for Co-Location, Connectivity und Managed Services. The company currently operates approximately 50 carrier-neutral data centres in several European countries, including various in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

The company is headquartered in Europe, the DACH company is located in Frankfurt. The enterprise was supported by various international investors and private equity enterprises in the establishment phase.

The person is responsible for the “heart of the company” – he will lead 5 operational units (Service Solution Design, Service Implementation, Service Operations/incl. Facility Management, Service Delivery, Security Service) as well typical support units.


He will be responsible for a significant OPEX and CAPEX budget, will report directly to the Managing Director Germany and will lead a team of. 110 persons.

Professional requirements

  • Leadership Skills – strategically thinking & acting executive with good technical knowledge/overview of the co-location business (Data Centres – Base Infrastructure – IaaS)
  • Usual to design customer-specific solutions/products with/for customers and to implement them with the team (proactive management of risks, escalations …)
  • … as well as to ensure the operation with a high level of professionalism, efficient processes, organization even for market-leading/ demanding customers (management/optimization of data centers downtime, performance…)
  • Strategy & continuous optimization of KPIs & business cases (CAPEX, OPEX)
  • Expansion and management of a very qualified & performance-oriented teams [development of agile working methods]
  • State-of-the-art knowledge of colocation & interconnection (within DC, connection of clients, direct connection to network operators/ other companies)
  • Used to working with international headquarter, clients, partners & leading suppliers

Personal requirements

  • Get things done, accurate, proactive and flexible working manner, stress-resilient, mature personality
  • Persuasiveness at management level, fresh mind-set – can act sustainably & realize (cultural) change in cooperation between organizational units
  • International experience, English and German (business fluent), willingness to travel, open mindset
  • Preferred secondary education/university degree or comparable with vocational education in Economics, e.g. specialization in controlling (degree in finances would be beneficial but is not required)
